OB/GYN's in Huntington area
HI Ladies...
Sorry antoher post from me!
just got the BFP and recently moved to the Huntington area. All the doctors/hospitals I know are in Nassau Co.
Since I am due around July and I am a teacher, I think it would make more sense to pick an OB/GYN closer to home rather than in Nassau near work.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I need to call someone and set up an initial appointment. Also thoughts on hospitals? I am clueless with anything like that out here just yet.
I wouldn't want to go any further east than Smithtown....
TIA!

He is my Ob as well. He delivered my DD 2 years ago and we were thrilled with his care. He will be delivering my upcoming child too.
Dr. Lustberg is just a real down to earth person. He gives each patient their individual time and even if he is running behind---never rushes you out. One of the things I really like and I think it makes him unique is that after he sees a patient in the examining room, he waits at the front desk for that patient to come out before going into the next examining room. He doesn't like to leave you with that, "Oh, I forgot to ask, maybe next time" feeling. He's just a genuinely caring doctor.

He was my dr. when I lived in NY too. LOVE him!!! I was just 12 weeks pg when I moved OOS and he was so great -- made sure I got as much done as I could before I moved. I wish he could have delivered my DD. Now that I have seen 2-3 other OB/GYNs who are not nearly as good as he is, out here in IL, I appreciate him even more. He is really terrific.

Re: OB/GYN's in Huntington area
I highly recommend my OB, Dr. Kiran Trivedi. He is located in East Islip and delivers at Good Sam and Southside. He delivered both of my children and I couldnt be any happier with him or Good Sam. He is kind, friendly and down to earth.
He is located at 1 Grant Ave East Islip Tele: 631-859-1920

WGM Dr Wagner and Dr Goldman. I LOve them both, they have an office in East Northport and Huntington Affliated with Huntington Hospital. ^31 261 3322
Dr Singer was with them and I had a really bad experience with her, then she induced me in the hospital, she was ok then. Just my experience..

Dr Lustberg delivered my twins 10 years ago when he was with Dr Vanson and Dr Horn. I went back to him when I became pregnant with DS almost 2 years ago.
Im not going to bash him but I wound up leaving his practice when I was just shy of 16 weeks. He was rather insistent with me having an amnio and since I didnt want one he hounded me on it at every appointment. I also had an abnormal PAP smear and he wouldnt discuss the abnormality with me. He just said I needed a colpo. As it turned out, when I switched doctors, with my history, the colpo would have been too risky and the abnormality was essentially nothing.
Additionally his office wouldnt release some of the proper paperwork to my new doctor. I called, they called, the hospital called....I guess b/c I left he was a bit irritated so I had to have my HIV test when I went into labor b/c he wouldnt fax over the required form...
I had a wonderful experience with him the first time around...but my second time was simply horrible.

Sorry to hear that you had so many troubles with his practice. It really does sound like you got the shaft this time around. I hope you found someone that worked out better for you.

Re: OB/GYN's in Huntington area
I used to go to Wagner, Goldman, Morris - to Dr. Singer but she's left the practice. I loved Dr. Wagner, hated the long waits. Love Dr. Singer too.
Goldman delivered my first. The on call doctor delivered my second.

She is OK. But, unless you deliver on a Wednesday you won't have her deliver your baby.
That is why I switched!! Also, she was too vague about a test that I had questions about (ultrascreen)
