Scared of the Level 2.....UPDATE!!!!!

I haven't had any screening tests (no amnio, no AFP, etc.) because we chose not to know. However, I'm going to my Level 2 tomorrow and although I am excited to find out the genders of my twins, I'm also PETRIFIED.....Like, what if something's wrong, etc. I'm 18 weeks and I also don't feel any movement AT ALL. Update: We're having two boys!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon !!! DH is thrilled, of course! They are doing well!

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

I'm sure everything is going to be fine. I've read that a lot of women don't feel any movement until further along. Hang in there and try to think positive thoughts! Chat Icon

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

I didn't have any other tests done as well. I did have a quick US at 12 weeks because of bleeding but they didn't actually do a thorough check of the baby.

i was a bit apprehensive as well about the exam, but once I got there and saw her I felt great, everythig was fine!

try not to worry, easier said then done!!

Its also normal to not have felt movement yet.

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

I feel the same way. Mine is next week & I chose not to have the ultrascreen or the AFP. The only testing I had was an ultrasound at 11 weeks to see the heartbeating. I'm so nervous that they'll find something wrong. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

Try not to worry because really there is nothing worrying is going to help. I know that's easier said than done but trust your judgement. You obviously decided not to have those tests for a reason. I'm SURE everything will be fine!

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

I was terrified of what they would find or not find at my Level II, especially going through all we went through to get pregnant and have a pregnancy that actually stuck! I'm a nervous wreck before any Dr. appointment and/or sono still.

All I can say, is try to enjoy the show! It's so amazing to see the baby (or babies in your case! Chat Icon ) moving around and looking like a baby!

Re: Scared of the Level 2.....

That's not abnormal at 18 weeks to not really feel anything. I also was terrified something would be wrong (abnormal AFP here) but all was ok. I am sure yours will be as well but I do understand how you feel. Chat Icon

I only felt movement w/ both pregnancies at 22-23 weeks and you have 2 in there, so theres probably not a heck of a lot of room Chat Icon

I didn't have any tests done prior to my level II..and was also very nervous before my level II.
The level II was a great experience, I will never forget it.

Also, I didn't have any movement until I was like 22 or so weeks.

Don't worry everything will be fine....just enjoy and take in the moment when you see you lil ones.Chat Icon
