Is there any way to trace a harassing phone call?

Is there any way to trace a harassing phone call?
Will the phone company release that information or does a harassment complaint need to be filed first? Anyone know the procedure?

I think there is a *52 or something you can press and it tracks the call or something, I don't remember exactly how it works though

google the number, d b surprised how many pple can be tracked down that way

If you can't find it any other way, the police can get it for you if you file a report.

I'm almost positive it's *57 (I used to use it) The way it works is....
you trace the calls a few times and then you open a case with the police. The police will get the info from the phone company and if they see the same number 3+ times then you can have the person arrested.

*57 after the call. then call the phone company and make police report
