I have to be in East Hampton by 6:30

I live in Bethpage.

If I leave at 3:30 you think I'll be ok?

ooo you'll be ok if you leave that early. I had to get out to Riverhead last night - we left home in Smithtown at 5:40 and made it at 7. Thank Golly for the HOV lane Chat Icon

I would rather get there early than get there late. It can't hurt to leave earlier as long as your schedule permits it.

You'll probably be ok with even leaving a little later.. the point where you're going to run into traffic is as soon as you get into Southampton... there is some construction in Water Mill that is causing a bit of a jam

From working at brookhaven labs for a while, I can tell you that rush hour traffic isn't really an issue past something like exit 64/65 on the LIE.... so you only have to figure extra time to get from bethpage to exit 65..... Not sure about sunrise highway, though.

and, if you get there early, just grab an icecream or something.... e hampton is hardly an uncomfy place to blow off some time Chat Icon
