I'm glad you posted it for others in that same situation to see it can be better. I'm even more proud that you posted it for yourself to see.
Being honest with yourself is probably the most important part of healing.

You must feel a tremendous weight being lifted off your shoulders! I give you so much credit for getting that off your chest and telling people. Before meeting DH I was ina mentally and verbally abusive relationship and still have not to this day told my family. My friends and even co-workers know the truth, but not my parents or brothers. I never wanted them to feel like they needed any type of retaliation in anyway, but it was also a fear of how they would look at me differently.
You are brave and you are doing the right thing for yourself and your child I you.

Don't be hard on yourself for not telling people earlier. Many victims of abuse do not tell anyone about it- because telling someone makes it "real".
It must have been so hard for you, especially when pregnant, caring for a newborn, and being far away from family and friends.
to you for getting help, you are an excellent role model for your daughter.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for the wonderful words and FM's.... it means so much to me.
This is why I'm fighting so hard to keep her away from him.... She doesn't need that in her world.... plus the fact that I found out that he's using all kinds of drugs again...
