Back from 40 week 3 day appointment (kinda long)
Good news and "eh" news. Sonogram was perfect. Baby G was moving around like crazy and we got to see his little budgy face and hands. He even waved at DH and I  . They hooked me up to the fetal heart monitor and the contraction monitor. No contractions and G's heart rate was perfect. He is weighing about 7 pounds 10 ounces. My blood pressure was perfect and no protein in my urine. Dr. said I get 100% today.
Dr. did an internal and, here's the kicker.....NOTHING! Dr. said "still close, long, and high." Not effaced at all!! So I have to go back to the dr. on Thursday to see if my cervix is soft at all. If it is not, they will admit me to the hospital on Sunday night and begin the Cervadil. I will do that for 12 hours and then on Monday morning they will start the Pitocin and get labor progressing. If my cervix is soft on Thursday then they will admit me on Monday and just do the Pitocin.
I was concerned that he would be too big by next week but the dr. said that his growing has capped off and he won't gain weight between now and then. The growth sono can potentially be off by 1 pound in either direction. So, worse case scenario the baby will be about 8 pounds 10 ounces. I can deal with that.
I am slightly bummed b/c the dr. said the risk of C-section doubles when you are induced. But, at the same time I feel okay with this decision b/c there is light at the end of the tunnel. At least I know that whether I have him on my own or I am induced, I will be a mommy and DH will be a daddy by next week!!!

I'm glad your little one is so healthy though! You really have to mail out a second eviction notice though!
hopefully you'll enter labor before sunday!!!!!

Oh I'm sorry you are still waiting this out. Looks like your little boy is nice a comfy in there! Hopefully he will decide SOON to make his way out and you won't have to worry about the induction. Sunday is a long way away so you have plenty of time to go on your own. Sending lots of labor vibes your way!!!

glad baby is doing well!! 3 days late, I feel bad for you, u must be so uncomfy! i'm 37 weeks and I am so DONE with this already! hopefully things happen for you very soon!

Well, the good news is that you could go into labor at any time. Please don't be too discouraged by the lack of progress shown from the internal.
I just want to say that I am really impressed with your doctor. It seems like many docs are so quick to induce and he seems to be taking a really nice approach and has even been up-front about the C-section risk with inductions. I hope your baby comes quickly and easily!

Happy to hear all is well. Don't worry about the size I had measured 8 13 when I was 40 weeks and I delivered 41 weeks 2 days a 7 10 baby. If all is well don't rush into the induction.
Also I was never dilated in the doctors office and went on my own - just walk and squat.

So glad to hear that everything with the baby is good but that stinks that you still have no progress. It must be frustrating.  At least you know though that in a few days the baby will be here no matter what. Hopefully in the next few days though you will see some progress or maybe the baby might even decide to head out on his own before the induction. I will for you that everything goes well and as quickly and painlessly as possible!! Keep us posted and feel good!!!
