Some questions
As I said in my post yesterday, we are going to being TTC. What is the best ovulation kit to get? Is the ovulation kit the same as "temping" that I see you girls speaking of.
Sorry if these questions have been asked before, but I couldn't find the threads on this board. Also, I am clueless and so is my mom and every other woman around me...they all just got pg without doing all that stuff!

Re: Some questions
An Ovulation Predictor Kit is a stick you pee on similar to a pregnancy test. This measures the amt of lutenzing hormone in your urine letting you know when your body is ready to release an egg. When the two lines either match or the test line is darker you are about to ovulate(read the instructions that come with yours as it may be different) Temping is keeping a record of your basal body temperature every morning and charting it. You can read more about this here: Fertility Friend Another way I have found is the easiest for me is using a combination of analyzing cervical mucous until I see egg white quality CM. This should stretch between your fingers-this is the most fertile CM and acts as a transport for sperm and also a friendly environment to hold them. If you are interested in charting you should probably read Taking Charge of Your fertility by Toni Weschler. Very informative. I think someone here said they were getting rid of their copy, maybe Doodles? Good Luck!

Re: Some questions
Thank you sooo much for your help. We would like to be preggo by next year, so I figured that now was a good time to start doing all of this.
Again, thank you for your help.

Re: Some questions
No Problem, I missed something too in my post. I meant to say that I use my CM as an indicator of when I am close to O and then start using OPK's to confirm. I got PG 1st try but had a MC. We are now on our 4th month I think. If you guys BD a lot you can even just BD every cycle day from 10-20 and you should be ok with that.

Thank you again. For some reason this made me giggle. We do BD a lot, but not every single day for 10 days! How am I going to do this?!
