I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and put Tide and Downy in the machine and started it. What would you do...let it go this one time or rewash it in Dreft?

I'd let it go. Has he had any reaction when you hold him or when he lays on your bed??

I wash everything in free and clear, but it is because my dog is allergic to detergent.Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'd try one of the articles of clothing to make sure he doesn't have a reaction. Keep the clothes that you washed in Tide separate from his other clothing until you kind of test out his reaction. If you don;t want to be bothered, then rewash the load.

I would let it go and if he doesn't have a reaction then you don't need "special" detergent anymore. yay!!

If you know he is sensitive to the Tide, then rewash the load now, or keep those clothes seperate until he wears a few things since you know which clothes were the ones washed in the Tide.

I speak from experience. My DS had a reaction to Dreft, I didn't realize right away and pretty much had to wash ALL of his stuff over again because I had already put everything away. Chat Icon

He doesn't seem to have sensitive skin so I think i'll try what Lucky suggested. I would rather not rewash because I have about 2 other loads I need to do tonight also.

Thanks!!!Chat Icon

We've never use Dreft, and neither DC ever had a problem so as long as DC doesn't have a reaction, I wouldn't bother rewashing (and if he doesn't have a reaction, you may want to switch to the cheaper "regular" detergent from now on... Chat Icon Chat Icon )
