so i used the completion certificate for my registry today---some advice

i had a ball! i went with my mom, aunt and cousin to finish out my registry.

here's some advice:

get a scan gun before you start! i added so many things as i went along. i just scanned it so it would be on my registry so i could get the 10% off on it. i got a new print out before i checked out.

collect coupons--they will use more than one coupon on your items!!! i had a 15% off one item coupon AND they took an additional 10% off! plus i had a $3 off for something else and they took an additional 10% off

check the clearance--that counts toward the 10% off as well!

this was all at BRU. although i didn't register at BBB, i opened a registry there online but didn't put anything on it. well...i just got my completion certificate for there as well--even though the registry is empty! it's good for 3 months, so after the baby is here, i'll do the same thing there--even if it's just for clothes, etc. i also now get their coupons.

open a registry at target online. they send you a coupon for $20...so i added 3 stupid items to the registry to get the coupon, bought stuff with the $20 and then deleted the registry! Chat Icon

definitely bring someone with you. it's easy to get carried away. i found today harder than actually registering!

How did you get the completion certificate from BRU?
I got the one from BBB when I opened the registry. I can't seem to find the one from BRU
TIA

i'm surprised you got the BBB one when you opened it. are you sure that's what it was?

BRU sends it like a week before your due date. i called them and requested it 3 weeks earlier. i had some hassles with them, but i demanded it.

I looked in the BBB "Welcome" folder today. There was a yellow paper that has a bar code. On the bottom it says 10% off any or all remaining items from your registry... expires three months from baby's expected arrival date.
Thanks for the info.. Hope you had fun!!
