Honestly, that description might sound bad but its not. It is literally 5 minutes and so not bad at all. At least for me it was not. It is just a little discomfort. It's over before you know it.

Oh really? That's good to hear. The website said it took 25-30 minutes and that you couldn't BD for 2 weeks after!

I had that done not to long ago.. i was so embarassed.. it was a good looking doc who did it.. the nurse was in with me the whole time, it cramped bad but he was so fast it was done before i would even complain about the cramp.. more scarier looking at how they do it then it acually is..
hang in there.. its a way to make sure the tubes are all open.. :)

I did not mean to scare any of you ladies! They told me to wait 24 hours to BD, stating that we should not "waste the cycle". I had my HSG on a Thursday and we BD on Sat.
It did not take 25-30 minutes. MAYBE it was not 5 but it was certainly not over 10. I know the pain was not for more than 5 minutes. It really was not so much painful but uncomfortable.
The doc that performed it and 2 techs in the room were nice and comforting, and that helped a lot as well.
