I did something maybe stupid...

Girls,

I could really use your help. I am a poster on here, but am embarrassed with what I did.

I finished my last pack of BC no problem, got AF and all was well. I had forgotten to renew my Rx, so I took pills from a pack that I had (I had missed too many in one month a few months ago). Anyway, it was 5 days worth, and in talking with DH, I told him that I was just really tired of taking the pills every night and thought I would be better off them. So instead of getting a pack and finishing the cycle, I just stopped. So I took them through Friday (9th) and today I seem to have some old blood. Nothing crazy, a little cramping (but barely anything) and I'm just trying to figure it out. Did I just really screw up my system??

i sincerely doubt you did anything seriously wrong. all the bleeding means is that the BC hormones are leaving your system. it's like stopping your BC in the middle of the pack, which some people have done. totally harmless.

you can either start a new BC pack when you want, or stay off them from now on and have fun with TTC

Okay - another question if you don't mind. We aren't actively trying (too much going on right now)...but I want to just track so I know, would this be CD1, or would I count from when I got AF after my last pack?

No i dont think you should count this as CD1 i would wait for your next AF and start from there.

I stopped in the middle of a pack too. I got AF a few days later, and then a month after that. CD1 would be your first day of full flow (red blood)
