Need Mom advice for a letter...

I need to give my notice to my 2nd job, and I want to give it to them in a formal letter...

I love my job and the people, but I just can't physically do the hours anymore at 3.5 months preggo

How do I nicely say that I made my choice due to my personal reasoning and for the health of myself...

...or do I even go that far?

TIA!

To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign effective (insert date here). I have come to this decision after careful thought and consideration for the needs of my family.

I want to thank you for the opportunity to work for such a wonderful company (wonderful people works too).

Sincerely,

I probably wouldn't go that far. If they asked I'd talk about it, but I wouldn't put it in writing. I was always worried about giving any ammunition for any negative comments to be made if I needed them for a reference.

I think this letter covers it. It clearly states your reason and has you leaving on good terms.

I agree, No you don't have to only if they ask for one, and they might...

I was going to go back to work, then asked if I can go part time... they said no with that they asked for a letter of me stating what ever... I dont recall but they told me what they wanted me to write to save there A$$ if a legal issue came up or if I wanted to get unemployment. I never gave them the letter.
