I am just so frustrated right now
Abby is the sweetest puppy ever - and has been really great with going to the bathroom outside. We haven't had a accident in the house in awhile.
That being said - today has been the worst. I changed the baby's diaper (with poop) and since I changed him on the floor I left the diaper on the floor and brought him right up to his crib to take a nap.
Abby was sleeping on the couch.
I come down (about 2 minutes later) and she friggin opened the poopy diaper and ate some poop. SHE STUNK. I am gagging writing this.
I had to throw her in the bath and wash her down.
So, basically I have been so mad at her all day that I haven't had her near me (normally she is by my side all day long) Needless to say - she peed in my living room.
Now, I know what you are going to say - it's my fault for leaving the diaper on the floor - and it's my fault for not being on top of her. I know this - and that's what makes it all even worse.
I am just so tired of it all. Had to get it out somewhere.

Re: I am just so frustrated right now
Is she showing any signs of jealousy? If not then she is probably just curious or being maternak. Loki tried a few times to get into DS diaper...even while it is on him. I swear it is his way of telling me to pay attention

Well I'd certainly say lesson learned! Do not change the baby on the floor and if you do, do NOT leave the dirty diaper anywhere near where the puppy can get to it!
In my experience thus far, I have learned if it's there, puppies will undoubtedly investigate it!

No - I think she's just really nosy. It was on the floor so to her - maybe she thought she could play with it. Who knows.
It's just beyond exhausting at this point. She LOVES Jack to pieces so there is no jealousy there at all.

Awww, don't be so hard on yourself!!!!
So you made a mistake, you're only human, it happens. It's not the end of the world.
Dogs are curious animals, I know Kasey would do the same thing!! Anything on the floor is fair game to them. Now that she knows you're mad at her, go and give her a pat and let her know that you forgive her.

Don't be too hard on yourself or the pup. You made a mistake, it happens. Take solice in the fact that eventually she'll grow out of it and sooner or later your child will be out of diapers!
Believe me, one day you'll laugh about it!
