So..its not
totalled
I'm kind of upset that it isn't totalled because of all the damage.
$16,312.11 worth of damage.
So now I wonder how long until its fixed.

Did you ask them if you can opt for it to be totalled??? It really is badly damaged

yea he said since its mostly in the back there is no mechanical damange only metal and airbags as he explained it. He said the engine and all the expensive stuff are fine. He did say the Colllision place is going to look at it a little more just because there was some front damage and then get back to him but as it stands it will be fixed.

That sux! The same thing happened to me about two years ago. I wish they had just totaled the car because it hasn't been right since it was fixed

Is this the first time they gave you the quote??? a lot of times when they start the work and put it up on the lift, they will see more damage. I would ask what the amount is to have it considered totalled.
What kind of a car is it? I'll ask DH, this is what he does for a living!!!

ugh, i'm sorry
same happened to me 2 years ago. i have a pathfinder and some moron rearended me going like 60 on the belt parkway. 15 grand worth of damage; not totalled and my car has never been the same

I had the same thing happen to me a year ago...a guy hit me full speed on the LIE and did $13,000 worth of damage to my truck and they fixed it.
Thankfully, the body shop did an awesome job and you can't tell what was fixed.

happened to my dad's BMW---he had about that much in damage too--it took like 40 days to fix it! (parts had to come from germany)
