the majority can be hung from a wall...
You will find you can get a 42" for 1k from well known to less name brands (which really doesnt matter becausee only 3 companies produce the glass + parts that make non name brand tvs
Or you can get a smaller size and get a "sharp", etc... for up to the same price..
for your wall mount, i would be it from monoprice.com
People don't know and will spend an arm and a leg at bestbuy (and similar stores)

Re: show me your tv
this is ours, 50" panasonic, I think it was $2400? I'd have to check w/DH. He put it up along w/all the speakers. There are also speakers behind our heads on each side of the couch on the wall

Re: show me your tv
47" Philips LCD HDTV 1080p I believe we paid $1600 including s&h. DH purchased it online, but I don't recall where.
Not a great photo of the picture quality, but you get the idea:
(excuse our unfinished bedroom )
I won't bother posting a photo of our family room tv b/c it's a DLP (can't be wall mounted.)

Re: show me your tv
I don't have a pic but our tv is pure gluttony. It is a 65 or 70 inch Sony Wega SXRD. We are really into HD and Blueray so it has served us well. DH got a discount on it at PC Richard's because it was the floor model and last one in stock. He paid 1K but it retails at 4K.

Re: show me your tv
We have a 22" Samsung LCD, but we aren't big TV people, we don't have cable or anything - it hardly ever gets turned on. We bought it 3 years ago when our last TV litterly blew up! it was about $1,000 - now we could get a HUGE TV for 1,000!!!
