where should baby sleep
I'm sooo confused.....
I hear bassinet, start baby right away in the crib, have baby sleep in the bed with you (in a co-sleeper)... I have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!!!

Re: where should baby sleep
We had Kiera sleep in the bassinet and we will be doing that for this one as well. There were some times where she would sleep in the bed with us but for the most part she spent the first couple of months in the bassinet. When she outgrew it we put her in the crib. It's an adjustment but it's what worked for us.

Re: where should baby sleep
Because I'll be EBF, I plan on having Kristina in the bassinet next to me so that I don't have to get her from the crib in the other room.
Once she gets to the point where she doesn't fit in the bassinet.... I'll put her into her crib.
It's all a matter of personal preference...

Re: where should baby sleep
We used the bassinett for about 3 months and then the crib. It worked GREAT! I found it the best way to go because I hear of a lot of separation issues between baby and the parents when they co-sleep.

Re: where should baby sleep
we are not doing in the bed, but the side co-sleeper that attaches to the side of the bed.
They go up to a higher weight & hopefully by the time she out grows it, we will be in a house

Re: where should baby sleep
It really is a matter of preference.
We'll have him in the pack N play since it has a bassinet for nighttime, and I'll try to get him to sleep in his room during the day to get used to it.
From what other BTDT moms have told me, try not to put the baby in your bed as you will have a difficult time transitioning them to any other place to sleep.

Re: where should baby sleep
We are going to use the pack n play in our bedroom. I have friends who have done cosleeping and loved it, although it's not for us (DH is a very deep sleeper and doesn't hear well, he's afraid he will roll over on baby).

Re: where should baby sleep
We have a small porter crib that will stay in our room for a few months and then he will be moved to his room. I don't want to him to sleep in the bed with us if possible because I want to get him used to sleeping on his own.

Re: where should baby sleep
Our baby is sleeping in her bassinett at night. During the day she takes her naps in her crib.

Your baby should sleep wherever you WANT him/her to sleep.
