40wk 3 day appt.
so i had my appt. today and I was really hoping for some good news like she will be here any day...what i got was it dosent look like shes coming anytime soon and i will most likely have to be induced...the doc. said possibly sunday...i have another appt wed. to check again and talk further...this *****!!!

I was praying for you too!!! Well I won't stop. you never know what can happen from now and Sunday.
No matter what happens you WILL have this baby don't be discouraged!!!
I was 40 weeks 4 days with my first. I thought i might bhave to be induced as well but she finally decided to come. Don't lose hope. Good news is at least by Sunday you know you will have this baby!

Oh and if you can and want to.....
do the BD with DH. Practice for baby #2. LOL Perhaps some rocking of the boat will get things going. Everyone is different but i know for a fact it worked for me!

Some times just scheduling your induction starts your body on your own. Two of my friends scheduled their inductions and went into labor on their own those days. Keep your chin up and be proud that you made your DD so comfy!!

thanks for all the words of encouragement! just having a really rough day with no progress being made! i have tried going for walks, i have tried BD, ive tried bumpy rides...shes stayin put im afraid...DH has now cut the BD off since he found out what the mucus plug is like when it comes out lol...was good for a laugh though!
when i go to the doc wed i am going to see if she will maybe induce fri instead of sunday so we are home before DH has to go back to work on the monday...
thanks again though...coming on here truly does make you feel a little better about things

I was in the same situation at 39 weeks, where the dr. said "not any time soon".
I walked a lot one day, A LOT, at 39 weeks and the next day labor came full force! I gave birth about 24 hours later.

thanks :) i would walk ALOT but really it just puts me in a ton of other pain not labour pain...i have a lot of orthapetic problems from figure skating for 17yrs...ive always had to limit how long i can walk around for...i walked shopping on and off for 4 hours a couple weeks ago and was in extreme pain that night with my hips, back, knee and foot! wasnt worth it in the end lol especially when advil is out of question!!!

start doing SQUATS NON-STOP!!!!!! I swear by them and they have been proven to help make the baby drop. I started doing squats @ 9am on Aug 17th, I did them literally all day whenever possible, and my SIL who at the time workd in L&D as a nurse practitioner guaranteed me that my water would break by midnight if I did squats as she presecribed all day. So, at 8:30pm, my water broke and off to the hospital I went!!!!!!!!! Squat girlfriend, SQUAT!!!!!!!

I have read about pressure points to induce labor naturally. Maybe you should give it a try.

But I am saying NON-STOP!!! Not just 1 or 2 every minute, do reps of 20 . I literally did them whenver I was standing, I'd put my 2 year old on the potty and I'd do squats until she was done, I'd do the dishes and do a few squats, good luck, I truly think it works!!!!
