Down Syndrome Blood Test
Do you need to fast for this test?? I forgot to ask my OB and I have to go to the lab tomorrow and the office is closed until Wednesday.

I had a routine appt today and she asked me during it if I wanted the blood test to test for Down's and Spina Bifida. So, you don't need to fast, I had no advane notice.

I didn't fast but the place told me not to go to the bathroom an hour before the sonogram.

No need to fast or to drink water before hand... I drank water and wound up waiting for 2 hrs and had no choice but to use the bathroom before hand they said it was no big deal
