what did you do for clothes in that in-between stage before maternity clothes?

I'm 9 weeks and all my pants are way too tight at the waist. I'm very uncomfortable in them. I work in an office which is business casual so I need to be fairly dressed up for work. I really don't see the point in spending money on buying pants in a larger size (plus I'm super petite, 4'11", so I would have to pay for alterations) but clearly do not need maternity clothes yet.

what did you ladies do in that in-between stage for pants? (shirts I'm okay with because the new babydoll tops are very forgiving) I don't want to spend a lot of money and I need to look respectable at the office.

since you are tiny, maybe go to NY& co and get the dressy pants that stretch at the waist?

I would try the Bella Band or Tummy Sleeve. I used the Bella band and it was a huge help from about 9 week to 14 weeks.

Target.. they have pants that you can wear the whole nine mts..

I'm in the same stage. I use the bella band. It works pretty good.

If you don't have a lot of butt (like I do) the bella band/tummy sleeve will probably work for you for a few weeks. I started buying maternity pants at about 12/13 weeks I think (I can't remember anything anymore) because I was so uncomfortable in my clothes even though I didn't really look pg yet.

Thanks, ladies. I looked up the bella band on the net and it seems like it may be a good solution. where do I find these? Can I only get them online or can I get them at a maternity store?

To be honest, I started wearing maternity at 10 weeks. They have different stages of maternity clothes. I just wanted to be comfy.

Love, love, love my BellaBand (got in Baby Style @ Roosevelt Field), I'm just about 5 mos & I still use it. I've also rolled down the belly panels on maternity pants- that seems to work.

I went to NY&Co. and got a larger size. I wore that up until 7 months and for a few months after the birth.

I bought a tummy sleeve for $15(cheaper than bella band) at Motherhood Maternity and I've been wearing that for the last few weeks. I also bought some maternity clothes. The tummy sleeve works for me but I do find it more comfortable to just wear maternity, but I don't have much yet so it makes my wardrobe much more extensive.

I am right there with you!!! I am so uncomfortable in my clothes, actually just my pants.

A lot of girls love the Bella Band, but it looked too uncomfortable to me, so I skipped that. I had some loose pants that fit during this time, some of my other pants I wore with the top button undone (or you can use a ponytail elastic to extend the button's reach), and I bought a couple pairs of maternity pants.

When I was getting to this point, it was also early summer, and I had a couple skirts with stretchy waists, so I wore those too.

I wore the Tummy Sleeve from Motherhood. It was a life saver.
