Anyone really disappointed with the current season of Rescue Me?
We were watching it this week and DH and I finally admitted to each other that we just aren't into this season. Something seems to be missing...
We can't put our fingers on it. We still watch it, of course, but don't get excited about it like we used to.
Anyone?

I havent watched it yet. We watched seasons 1-3 on Netflix and are waiting for this one to end so we can watch it too....Bummer that its not as good. I loved the first 3 seasons.

Yeah, DH and I have been saying the same things. They aren't even shocking anymore, the episodes are just plain boring most of the time.

Definitely! It all seems so contrived now - It doesn't have that "pull at your heart strings" feel it used to have.
It's all unbelievable - Am I to believe that every woman in the world thinks Tommy is soooo hot and can't get enough of him? Um, no. Giving the baby to Sheila? C'mon!
The Gavin clan is just bad comedy - Seriously - get rid of Uncle Teddy.
I really LOVED this show up until the season following the death of Connor. It's been downhill ever since. I want to love it - I just can't. I seem to fall asleep during it every week.

i think its cause they are all crazy. it used to be only tommy, sheila and tommy's sister that was sort of nuts, but now Janet and the 2 daughters are out of their minds. it's like nothing holding anything together. it's ALOT of drama this season, and not enough just funny fireman stuff i think. the episodes make my head spin.
but i still love it.

YES YES YES!! You've all hit the nails on the head.
The Gavin family has GOT to go... Maggie is so annoying and such a bad actress.. and Uncle Teddy isnt "cute" any more.
I used to LOVE the firehouse scenes with the guys all joking around and making fun of each other... that's all kind of gone...
Weird:
-Proby being all lonely and by himself all the time.
-"Black Sean" doesn't get any lines so you really dont know what he's there for...
-More Lieu!!! Kenny Shea makes this show.. there isn't enough of him!
-It's clear that a bunch of famous ladies wanted to get on this show, so they just slapped them into random episodes...
I could go on and on. What a disappointment 
Oh, and not enough locker room, shirtless scenes!

I totally agree. I loved this show, never miss it. Lately, soooo boring.
Cant Tommy Gavin meet a nice girl, instead of these sex crazed idiots? Jennifer Esposito and Gina Gershon are practically the same character. Weirdos.
I agree, totally disappointed.

I agree with everything posted. The storylines are just ridiculous, I find it impossible to believe that THAT many women think Tommy is so hot (and, really, he's not), everyone's gone mad, the probie thing is depressing...so much more.
I DVR it every week for DH, watch the first 20 minutes and just shut it off.

It's funny you say this b/c Tatum O'Neal won an Oscar when she was like 11 or so and for a long time, she was the youngest actress to ever win one.
But she succks in this show...maybe it is the writing or directing, but I want to fast foward when she comes on

This season is totally wacky, when Tommy decided to give the baby to the crazy one I decided I was done. I mean come on? DH decided even before that he was over it.
