For me it sucked! I don't know why but I was miserable turning 30 - I didn't look it, I didn't act it in bad ways. But then my age generally bothers me - I am already dreading turning 40 next year.

Turning 35, well thats another story.
ON my 30th birthday I sang Karaoke for 4 hours straight. On my 35th birthday, I went to bed early.
Thats the difference.

Well, for the 2 days that I have been 30 it has been fine. Since I just gave birth to my DS on the 1st I never focused on turning 30.
Turning 25 was actually really hard for me. At that point in time I felt like I had not accomplished any of my life goals. I was single, did not have an advanced degree, felt vastly underpaid and felt socially stymied. In contrast with today, I am married, have a child, and am an attorney. I still would love to make more couple friends but feel loved by those friends that I am fortunate to have in my life.

30 was nothing to write home about. 31 was fantastic though.
I think there's too much hype about turning 30, so it rarely ever lives up to expectations.

the first week of my 30's, i broke my toe and a major tragedy happened. but i did meet my dh once i turned 30

I'm almost 34 and it really doesn't bother me at all. 30 was no biggie. Maybe I'll be a tad upset when I turn 50- half a century!  Otherwise...eh...age is just a number.

Like nothing. I'll be 32 in a month and i still don't feel anything.
i think that so many people build it up in their heads that its going to be awful, and it truly is not. enjoy it. plus you don't look a day over 25, so no one will even believe that you are 30.
