Magnolia Bakery Fans
I was just watching News 7 and due to violating most all of the major health codes, Magnolias Bakery has shut down!!!  How I loved these cupcakes....
This put a damper on my evening...... Sorry to disappoint my other fellow lovers!!!

Have you tried Buttercup Bakery - I think its just as good. It's on 52nd and 2nd ave.

 OMG I love that place!! I was going to suggest getting some for my shower. Maybe they'll reopen by then.
Just buy their cookbook and make em yourself. I did the icing once, and it came out just as good!
But EW, I wonder what they did.

Alls I know is there was rat or mice droppings and they violated many of the other health codes....I'm sure it is on Channel 7 News website.....I know, to think how many cupcakes I ate there....blech!! But at the time, they were so good!!

No, I never tried this place before.....will definitely have to look into it...thanks for the suggestion. Is their icing just as yummy? That's what I loved about Magnolias!!!

Magnolia isn't a sister company to Buttercup -NY Magazine's Cupcake article - The Sticky Tale
Such a shame. I'm surprised they won't go above & beyond to remedy the situation before being closed. Stupid, stupid....it takes a lot for people to forget closures of a major spot.
