Re: So I told my ex I was getting an annulment and...
That's awesome!!!
I wondering what is the difference between an annulment and a divorce?
Why is an annulment a better thing?

I think because in the Catholic church it kind of "erases" that you were ever married, etc. This way if she ever wants to remarry, it won't be an issue. If she gets a divorce, in the Church that is not acceptable.

That was nice of him.........he is doing the right thing......
DH and I both footed the bills for our annulments!!!
Although, my ex did pay for the divorce, we footed the bill for DH's divorce as well, amongst many other things... with NO offers for any contribution!

Nice, I guess, the right thing for him to do, definitely!
Big hug and best of luck in getting it done quickly and smoothly!

Thanks for all the support and hugs...the annulment will take a while and I hear it's tough to bring up all the emotional stuff, but to me, I will want to get married in a church again and this will be worth the time and effort.
