So I just told my boss how long I plan on being on leave...
And I told him I want 12 weeks off. He was fine with it and said he would hire a temp while i'm gone.
The only thing I didn't discuss was pay. We are a small company and he is not entitled to pay me so I guess I didn't want to push things. I guess I'll just take my 6 weeks disability it's better than nothing. At least I got 12 weeks leave.

Next time you get a chance, ask your boss how the pay works while you are off.
You must be feeling better knowing that your boss is fine with the 12 weeks and its one less thing to worry about.

Definitely ask... We are also a small company, and the NY office is a small, struggling office. When I told my boss, he told me some of it would be paid, but he didn't know how much. I expected 4 weeks.
I just asked him again and he said at least 8 weeks- maybe 12. I couldn't beleive it. I was so happy.

thats great bedda!! have u figured out who will be watching ur little boy while your at work? ( i ask only bc this is the reason at this point that we havent TTC yet) I'm sorry i'm being so nosy

My mom...we asked her and she is willing to do. I just hope she'll be able to manage it.
