For those of you who have a planned induction
How far in advance would your Dr. schedule it? I will be 25 weeks at my next appt, and he already told me we would schedule and early induction, I am just wondering if this is too soon to get an actual date.

Re: For those of you who have a planned induction
I guess it depends on why they are scheduling an induction. I was scheduled at 36 weeks. I am due March 25th but going in on March 15th. Reason is my son was 10 days early and was 9lbs 6.5 ounces and they feel this baby is measuring the same way.

Re: For those of you who have a planned induction
I have no date, just a 60-80% chance of having one. I am at risk for insanely fast labor and my dr. is in fear I won't make it to the hospital. Basically, once I am far enough along, she will check me for physical signs of being ready. If I show signs, I will be induced the next day. [my boss is going to hate that]

The reason is my DD was only 2 days past due, and she was 8 lbs 15 oz. SO the doctor said this time we will induce 1-2 weeks early. I just want a date so my husband can plan to get work off and my brother will be on leave from Iraq somewhere around that time and I want him to be there.

Re: For those of you who have a planned induction
My doc wouldn't sched mine with DD until i made progress, i had to dilated and effaced, something..and at least 39 weeks.
I went into labor the day before and wound up not needing it

Re: For those of you who have a planned induction
I think I was 36 weeks when we scheduled mine for 39 weeks, which is the usual time they do inductions for high blood pressure. I wanted my regular OB to do the delivery, so we scheduled it for the first day of that week that she was on call.

Re: For those of you who have a planned induction
I just went for my visit at 37 weeks, 2 days. I am being induced in 12 days but my doctor said they will wait until next visit to schedule it with the hospital...I thought that was kinda wierd but whatever
