WE ARE HOMEOWNERS!!
Hey All,
Yesterday we closed (took about 2 hours) and we got our keys!! Closing went very smoothly. Actually funny story, the REA lost the keys and we spent 20 minutes trying to find them. Turns out they fell between the couches. Heart stopped for a minute. Our seller's weren't there, their lawyer had the power of attorney. We got a nice $50 gift card to home depot from our REA and the seller's left us champagne & 2 champagne flutes in the fridge at the condo with a note. They were so sweet! They left there DVD player there so Saturday I'm going to ship it to them (I called her yesterday and she felt so bad). My DH didn't carry me over the threshold because he was carrying a box of lamps so we could see the place at 9PM. After the closing we took our parents (aka my dad was our attorney) out to dinner. Didn't get back to our apartment till 9:30PM. I'm so tired, but its so worth it. Tonight DH is changing the locks and I'm gonna begin cleaning the bathroom/kitchen. Tomorrow night its off to Lowe's for painters tape, new med. cabinet, etc then this weekend its PAINT, PAINT, PAINT. I have to decide exactly what colors I want.
I just have to say thank you to all of you. You've all helped me so much through this road. I couldn't have done it without you. This website is a true blessing!!!!!
