We're back from Hawai'i
We got in last night. Grace was AMAZING on all the flights, DH and I could not believe it! 
We took Gracie into the ocean in tide pools and at a beach when it was super calm. All the locals put the babies in naked, so when Gracie had her swimsuit on they all looked at us like we were nutso. When in Rome I guess, so we took it off and all the pics of her swimming are in her birthday suit! She's gonna be so mad at DH and I when we show these to her future hubby!
We had such a wonderful time. I did not surf (apparently I missed some great swells right before we got there), but I did swim in the ocean everyday, we went to a Luau, and I got to swim with my baby girl everyday too! The parasailing was off limits because I was "too much of a risk" the company would not let me do it. Oh well, I will do it next year when my ticker is all patched up. 
Grace had fresh mango, banana, coconut milk, avocado and LOVED it ALL!!!
We had a wonderful time and we even got a first class upgrade because our flight was delayed four hours leaving Kona.

It is a hot tub and massage place. Dh and I had a one hour hot tub there and it was unbelievable

Thanks Moe!
It was very hard to come home knowing that we had a bunch of snow. DH and I almost stayed two more days.
On a side note, our fab neighbors shoveled our stairs and plowed out our driveway as a surprise for us! We heart them!

Thanks Barb, you always know the right words.
Going back to Hawai'i with Grace and DH, surfing there, parasailing, etc., is wonderful motivation for me to keep my head up. I had an amazing sense of peace there, like everything will turn out fine and even better than we all expect. I gained balance, peace, and acceptance while I was there.
Weird I know, but I felt like going there was like a healing tonic for me emotionally.

Being in Cali, the flight would not be as long for your Gracie! 
Just do it! The big island is amazing. You can stay at a B & B and it would be WAY cheaper than a hotel. My sis in law knows a few folks who own B & B's on the island that are kid friendly. FM me if you want more details. Your DD will love it!

Welcome back! You missed a heck of snow storm in the OC. I had a snow day from work! It was wonderful. So glad you guys had a nice time - you all look so relaxed and happy in the pics!
