AM I Terrible??
I am in grad school in the city and I just wrote letters to my professors saying I was not going in because of the Icey conditions and I dont want to take the chance of falling on my way from long island. Should I have just sucked it up and gone??

If you don't feel comfortable, why chance it? I don't think you are wrong at all, and I probably would have done the same thing. It is very icy out. I am dreading my commute.

If you really don't have a lot of absenses, being off today is totally reasonable. The weather is going to get worst and very icy.

I did the same thing - I DO feel guilty about it, but not as terrible as I would feel if I got into an accident today - it is not worth sacrificing myself or my baby for today - a stinking day at work....

I did same exact thing for work! I would be running around the city all day long....is it really worth it to put my baby at risk?? I don't think so....
