PSA on Prescriptions
Not really a PSA just a reminder to ALWAYS double check the labels on your bottles!! Not just on the outside of the bag. We picked up DS script at CVS yesterday adn the outside of the bag had the correct info....inside was the same medicine DS was prescribed but for someone else altogether. It was like 3 times the dosage he was prescribed by the pedi. It could have done some serious damage in that dosage! Im so anal about triple checking script bottles, but DH thought I was paranoid....but see, you never know!

Re: PSA on Prescriptions
Just curious... what do they say when you tell them??? That is a HUGE mistake. A VERY HUGE CARELESS ONE. There should never be an accident on a childrens med nor anyones meds. I keep hearing stories like this. They need to double check, triple check etc...

Re: PSA on Prescriptions
Wow. Good thing you checked. This happened to me once, at a Walgreens in the city. The pharmacist who filled it wasn't very apologetic either when I brought it back, he seemed to poo poo the whole issue. I complained to his boss, who was much nicer about it.

Re: PSA on Prescriptions
Not only should all parties double check, but I would seriously get the name of the manager of the store and supervising pharmacist and raise some hel l. There is no excuse.

They apologized and offered us $3 off of our script, but only if we had the receipt. We didnt bc it was in the bigger plastic CVS bag at home as we had picked up a few other items and only brought the prescription bag back with us. Why they needed the receipt while the script form was clearly from that day with their store on it stapled to the bag is beyond me. Needless to say, after a few harsh words, and some no to heartfelt apologies....that was the end of it.

Oh see now thats just cr@p. 3 bucks...LOL tell them to keep it and call the higher ups. To think there is proably someone out there that cant read and just pop the pills into their babies mouth. What a HUGE error on their part. Shame on them!
