12/19 with FINAL PICTURES. Construction started today for our 1/2 bath
We're adding a 1/2 bath and some closet space to our utility room/basement and they started it about an hour ago.
Here are the befores:
The bathroom> will be where the workbench is. you can see it taped out on the floor.
The tape in front of the boiler is where a wall will be put up with doors to close that area off:
Another view of where the bathroom> will be:
This door leads to the garage.
So basically this room is between the garage and the finished basement,
We will be moving DH's work bench to the wall with the sink. And getting a new stainless sink and cutting out an area of the workbench so it will wrap around the sink. And we will be adding a closet next to the frig for storage:

This is on the other side of that door. Not sure if anyone remembers. About 2 months ago I asked people to post pics of their bar because I was looking for ideas. Well I found this one on Craigslist for a steal and jumped on it.
Can't wait to show you the afters
This is the same view as the 1st shot. The bathroom> is behind the wall on the right. I couldn't get a shot of it because the floor was wet.
They are putting the tile down today
I will post pictures tonight with the new floor.
Finished! Well with the exception of hanging some pictures in the bathroom>.
We love the way it came out.

Thanks...we love the bar. I got real lucky finding it. I stalked craigslist for weeks after we got a quote on a custom one.

The carpet was here when we bought the house. But I loved it. The prevous owners 2 sons lived down there. It was 1 big bedroom.
I must say, they kept it very clean

Because it is their house and they can do whateever the eff they want.

It looks great! It seems like a space tht you will get a LOT of use out of. And finishing a basement and adding a half bath adds quite a bit of value to your home.
I love the bar! Great find.

The floosr was finished today and the walls were painted. And I LOVE them!
Tomorrow they paint sll the molding , install all the fixtures, hang the doors and that should be it.
Well except for building a new work bench for DH. The one in the picture wouldn't work in the new space, so our contactor is building him a new one on Monday.
Can't wait to post pictures tomorrow

BM Fernwood Green
Valspar Autumn Fog in the bathroom>.
It's also in our kitchen.
