Ok...that "there once was a baby named trish.." commercial..

It's a huggies commercial, i'm sure most of you have seen it.

I may have a huge mental block, lol....but the baby is supposed to be talking about himself, right? Well its obviously a boy baby. And he calls himself Trish. Which is a girls name.

Am i just really confused about something?? lol. I HAD to ask b/c every time that commercial comes on i scratch my head..lol!

IDK- but that commercial really annoys me for some reason lol. I think "he" is saying it to his family since they are all surprised at his speaking/rhyming skills Chat Icon you're right about the name though.

Lol...yeah...the commercial annoys me because its obviously a male child. He is dressed in a blue polo...the presents around him are blue...and then he starts talking..i ASSUME its supposed to be from his perspective, but WHY would they use a girl name?? It's not even a name that could be up for question, trish is definitely a girls name...

I know its a dumb annoyance but i notice things like that, lol.

I think the baby is a girl. and the narrator is supposed to be her voice. I understand not every girl should be dressed in pink, but I do think their choice of polo shirt makes it look like shes a boy.

It used to be a boy voice...and then they changed it. I thought it was a mistake the first time I saw it, but then kept seeing it. The commerical bugs it. It was better the way it was... but it's like they used the same thing with different words to save money or something.

YES! When I saw it I was like, "WHy did they change HIM to a HER?" It makes no sense and I hate it, therefore I change the channel when it's on...Not such a good marketing campaign IMO!!!

Really??

No, I agree that not every baby girl needs to wear pink. But they make that baby really look like a little boy.

Also...all the blue presents around her make it even more apparent its supposed to be a boy. Weird.

Terrible marketing/commercial...but then again, it has me talking about it, lol..

It's a boy. Huggies, I'm assuming, is cheap and just did a different voice over, and for some reason which I'll never understand they turned the baby into a girl. lol

Here's the original version of the commercial that was on tv...

SHE IS A HE!!!

AHHH now it all makes sense. I never saw the original commercial, only this one (or if i did, i tuned it out completely..).

Very cheap of them to not re-shoot the commercial with a girl!

They used the exacty same commercial and made the child male first. Everyone in the room had the same speaking parts. They just redubbed in a girls voice and different lines for the baby. It is SOOO annoying.
