Opinion on these initials
We are team and are discussing names for both boy and girl. There is a girl's name DH really loves and I have started to love it as well. There is a middle name that I really want (trying to compromise on picking names). DH likes the middle name as well but he is concerned with one thing. The first name would start with B and middle would be J. She wouldn't be called "BJ>" but he fears that kids in school would be calling her B___J___. Personally I think he is looking to much into it and needs to grow up a bit. (When we go to BJ>'s the store, he calls it B___J___'s).
So, honest opinions... Is DH overthinking this too much or is it something you would avoid?
Any of you ladies have BJ> as your first and middle initials? Or any of you with DDs with those initials?
Thanks and apologies for such a ridiculous question. DH makes me sometimes.

Re: Opinion on these initials
Hmmm...I have two opinions on that.
One would be nobody would really know her middle name unless she told them. Then they would have to put two and two together.
But, with that being said, I guess someone may call her a bj> possibly one point of her life, but if someone wanted to make fun of her, I'm sure kids will find something else to say about some other part of her name, KWIM?
I would be more concerned if her first name was B and the last name was J.

Re: Opinion on these initials
i personally agree with him... kids are ruthless and will definitely put the connection together...
my cousins initials are JEW and people always brought it up... not as an insult or anything... just the fact that it said something

Re: Opinion on these initials
I actually know of someone (a boy) who is Brenden Joseph and the family called him BJ> for short. But I don't know if it would be different for a girl.
Our last name does NOT start with J.

Re: Opinion on these initials
It's a first and middle name -- not first and last.
I don't think kids would pick up on it at all really.
If you love it, I'd still use it.

Re: Opinion on these initials
DON'T DO IT.
I learned in 6th grade what BJ> really meant because some boy asked me to give him one. Biology class took on a whole new meaning that day.
Especially since I go by my full first name. People are lazy and shorten it, but I don't like just Bonnie so I'll tell them ok call me BJ> then. I work with 99.99% men and almost all of them refuse.

Re: Opinion on these initials
Thanks for your input everyone.
I'll still probably try to convince DH for us to use the middle name I want since the first name was technically his choice. We'll see. Nothing is set in stone.
However, by doing a search I found there is someone on LIF who named their DD the same first and middle name. So... we'll see. Thanks again!

Re: Opinion on these initials
i think all too often people don't know other's middle names.
so I don't see it as that big of a deal.
however... my cousin wants to name her son a name that the initials were BJ> but she wanted to call him BJ>!! I prayed she had a girl and thankfully she did! WHEW!!
