Disney help!

fun!!! we've been going once a year the past couple years, plus i went a bunch growing up... so i can answer some questions Chat Icon where are you staying? How old are your kids/ kid? how long are you going for? any specific characters or things your kids are into, that are like " must -dos"?

my boys are 7 and 4. we usually go for a week, and stay at a Disney hotel. if we're there for 6 days, i usually plan 4 days in the parks (basically one full day in each park), plus 2 "down" days to swim, hang out at the resort- or maybe do one of the water parks.

Definitely make meal reservations as soon as you can (180 days before you leave), especially for character meals if you want to do any of those. there are still plenty of "quick service" restaurants, so you won't be without food LOL, but any sit-down meals, you should get a reservation for. Some of our favorite character meals are Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, Garden Grill at EPCOT. for non character meals we like Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge Hotel, 50's Prime Time Diner in Hollywood studios, Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom, Sci-Fi Drive In at Hollywood Studios...

Fast Passes are free- so there's no reason not to make them. you're allowed to pick 3 rides a day to fast pass. Basically what it does is gives you a one hour window where you can go to that ride and go through the fast pass line (but only one time in that hour). Once all 3 of those are used up, then you can use the Disney app to make another fast pass for that day if you want to.

You can save 5% on your whole trip by buying Disney gift cards are Target with your Target Red card. The Red Card gives you 5% off at Target... and the Disney gift cards are included in that Chat Icon It adds up when you're spending that much!!

Re: Disney help!

I wish I would have seen your post about the 5% yesterday. I also knew that it is discounted at bjs so when I went to look at bjs yesterday to put the deposit down they didn't have any :( We are going for 4 days. My boys will be 10 and 4 when we go. We are going for 4 days. I am most likely skipping animal kingdom. My boys aren't really into the animals. I don't think they are into any specific characters. Star Wars is a definite must though for all (3) of them!

The Jedi training thing at HS is pretty cute. Both boys can do it. Idk how busy the park will be when you're going, but we went on two slow days and didn't have much trouble signing DD up. You sign them up in the morning, then you have to go back half an hour before the show and the show is about 20 minutes. I think they sometimes start signups outside the park prior to opening if you get there early enough. First time, we got there around 8:30 and people were being let in the park already. Went to the sign up and was told the line was 40 minutes long and it wouldn't start moving until 9:00. We had an 8:40 breakfast, so I couldn't stand in line. The CM said spots would be filled by 10am. Went back after breakfast and there were spots for the 4:10 show and later. Second time, we got to the park around 10:15 and still got a spot. But, if it's important to you, I'd try to get there early.

Disney help!

Animal kingdom isn’t animals. There is the safari but that’s it really for the animals. We pick AK over magic kingdom
