Macy's Herald Square Santa/Santa-Land
For those who still waited over an hour is that for Santaland?
I know that last year if you skipped Santaland and went directly to Santa it only took a few minutes (with reservation)
Do they offer the option to skip Santaland this year?

He's in a small room that is just a walk through...The room is decorated really nicely and the Santa and Elves were excellent. But the Plaza also has that huge tree in the lobby from Home Alone and you can go downstairs for a quick snack and leave Madeline a note which is fun.
ETA: When we went, a Thursday afternoon, there was no line for seeing Santa.
Oh nice!
I assume you mean Eloise? Eloise at the Plaza....we had that as a birthday party theme one year!

No option this year to just see Santa. Have to walk through Santaland.

UPDATE 12/3: Macy's Herald Square Santa/Santa-Land
Glad to see your update!
We went Saturday too but, we were early and they told us it was at least an hour once we would get in, after waiting a half an hour for our time slot. My kids didn't want to (we were in the city for something else so it wasn't a wasted trip).
Going to try to do it on a weeknight instead.

Update: So the consensus from those that replied seemed pretty dim and I was dreading that part of our trip. I felt that I had to update you all -- everything went so smooth! We had a reservation time slot of 4 to 4:30. We got on the line at 4:15, walked through the Santaland, had our family picture taken, saw Santa, and had our pictures printed in hand by 4:42. Less than 30 minutes from start to finish! I'm not sure if when they opened up last weekend they were still working out the glitches of the new reservation system, but whatever they did, it worked (and this was going on a Saturday!) Every one was happy and helpful, line was moving all the time, and everything organized!
That's great to hear! Especially since that is basically primetime!
