Bus drivers and more
What do you give to bus drivers? Or how much do you spend? Also, do you give to all the specials teachers? Gym, music or lunch aide?

$20 cash to the bus driver, I don't do gifts for the specials.

I give a $25 gift card to the bus driver. I don’t give to the specials.
I also gave the lunch aide a gift card at the end of the school year, not for Christmas.

I give 15$ to dunkin to the bus driver (@ the end of the year too)
$5 dunkin to special/cluster teachers but only during the holidays.

I have done $5 or $10 DD gift cards to the bus staff. Probably $10 this year. My son's bus has a driver and bus matron, one set in the AM and another set in the PM. I can not afford to spend $25 each for the four of them. too much.
And no absolutely not for special teachers. I can't afford all that. I donate instead to the PTA's teacher appreciation luncheon they have in the spring.
And as an aside because I've been wondering, honestly, does anyone remember their parents gifting your bus driver as a kid? My parents did not ever. Maybe my mom gave them some home baked cookies, at most.

i don't give for special's teachers.... and for bus drivers ( he has different ones in AM and PM) i usually give a $15 DD or starbucks GC, and maybe a few homemade cookies or a little bag of chocolates or something. i don't go nuts

I gave to the specials last year - $10 giftcards but, I don't think I'm going to this year since I seemed to be in the minority (and my job is being eliminated in early 2018 so I'm making cuts). I do contribute to the class gift though - which gets split between the special teachers too.
For bus driver - I'm going to give him $20 cash. My kids only use the bus 2-3 times a week in the afternoon.

The moms at the bus stop decided to chip in an get the bus driver a restaurant gift card. Otherwise I would've done $20 for Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks or Panera.
I did not think about getting the special's teachers anything, this is my daughter's first year in school - do parents give to them as well?

Some do but most don't...
