Uber question
I'm taking DS to Manhattan tomorrow for a Go&See for his modeling agency. Hes 13 months so obviously hes still rear facing in his car seat. I was thinking to take the train and then uber to the studio. Are there Ubers with car seats? Is that even a thing? DH says I should just drive, but I've never driven in they city before and the ride is almost 3 hours since we will be in the thick of rush hour. I'm not sure what to do.. Advice? Suggestions?

Re: Uber question
you can request an Uber with a car seat. Check the app- you should see that as an option. Not all areas have it though. I know when I was in Florida I couldn't find that option at the airport we were at, but when I'm in other areas, I see it.
Not sure if it will be rear facing though....
Where is the studio in nyc? Can you maybe take the subway from Penn instead?

Re: Uber question
in NY UBer with car seat exists. My SIL in from california used it in brooklyn this weekend. Her son is 1- 1/2. Whether its the right car seat I dont know, i doubt it was rear facing.

Uber question
Walk if it's a nice day. Penn is at 32nd so it's not a bad walk.

I would just take the train and then walk from Penn.

I am too but google maps has a subway option that can get even the most directionally challenged person (as in ME) anywhere on the subway. Just put in the address and choose the subway icon and it will tell you which trains to take.. Or you can walk, it's not that far of a walk on a nice day.

It's easier to walk than to navigate one stop on the subway with a stroller.

I agree, I walk to Chelsea from Penn a lot...26th st is pretty close & not worth it to take the subway at all.

Uber question
You'll get there much faster walking than if you take an uber during rush hour.

What time train would you have to take and from where?

Re: Uber question
Yea I probably wouldn't want to navigate Penn at that time of morning with a stroller.

You'll be first on the train in Ronkonkoma so you won't have to push through croweds of people to find a seat or anything, you can just fold up the stroller and sit. But getting through Penn Station during rush hour once you are there- even on the platform- might be a challenge with a stroller

Re: Uber question
I would just drive. Too much planning for the train. Getting there early enough to get a parking spot, navigating through crowds in Penn Station, having to wait for the train to leave. Driving is easier. Especially on a go see that will take like 5 minutes!
