weaning from bottle
My DD is 9.5 months and has not been drinking well from a bottle. She nurses 3 times a day and is supposed to have 2 bottles at childcare. She has been going in everyday with 2 5oz bottles. Over the last month her activity sheets indicate she typically drinks 4oz of one bottle and 1-2 oz of a second bottle. I just don't feel like that is enough for a 6 hour day. Today I picked her up and her sheet said she had 1/2 oz of milk all day. I brought her home and tried to give her the second bottle and she barely touched it. Nursed without a problem. Any thoughts on what I can do? She never has a problem nursing but it seems she doesn't like to drink from bottles. I bought some sippy cups. I don't know if I can put breast milk in them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What does she eat? I didn't breast feed but at that age, my dd1 was only drinking 4 bottles/day anyways. She was eating yogurt, cut up string cheese, and basically everything we ate. She drank water with most meals from a straw cup.

This. She's probably getting full from her regular food.

My son was like that. At 8-9 months, I put breast milk in a cup for him. He hasn't had a bottle since. He always preferred nursing over the bottle - weaning from nursing is another story all together!!!

If she's eating she's fine. Dd was off bottles at 11 mo, and ds seems like he'll be similar. I've nursed both.

You can put breastmilk in anything!
If you're nursing, baby will make up for the lost ounces when you're together. Either when you pick her up or even overnight.
