Weaning bottle or BF before nap....how did you do it??

Our before nap routine is usually pretty short, one book, BF and then in the crib-------how did you wean your DC from BF or bottle before the nap? And did you give milk in a cup right before nap as well? TIA!

We switched to a sippy cup after I weaned from BF and we didn't want him to have any bottles. When we completely weaned him from milk before naps or bed, I just let DH put him down. He only gets Milk with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner now

I swear- one day she just seemed more interested in the book we were reading, so I just her down instead of giving her the bottle. And it worked! Then I tried it again the next day, and so on. BTW- I usually give her a board book to *read* in her bed after we're done with the routine. It helped keep her distracted.

She's been off bottles for about 1.5 months! I swear I thought it would be MUCH more difficult. She's 20 months BTW.
