I recently sent a friend grilled chicken salads. I waited a bit till things calmed down and they were very grateful for a healthy meal that wasn't pasta or Italian.

Bagel platters and deli platters are good for a group, also Roasted chic dinners and Italian ( trays of pasta, chic dishes)

When my grandma passed, our local deli (she had been going there for YEARS), sent us a tray of baked ziti and it was so appreciated.

I remember getting a few containers of soup from a local Chinese restaurant. It was different and a great comfort food.

When I lost my mom, about a week later, one of my friends sent us stuff from Ben's deli. It was sooo good and very appreciated.
