Domestically? No
No ID is needed for anyone under 18 if flying domestically.

Nope not domestically. They have on occasion on Delta & Jet Blue asked my kids to state their name, but that's it.

Re: Do you need any ID for a 4 y/o when flying delta?
I find it SO strange that they don't verify who your kids are. ONE time when we were heading back to NY from FL the TSA agent asked them their full name. My DD who is 8 answered, my 4 yr old son looked at him like he was nuts. lol I answered for him and the agent was like, "He needs to answer himself". Yea ok, guess he was prepared to stand there all day. Dumb a$$. Finally he let us go through after I said his name again and he verified with my son that was his name, my son just shook his head.

Kids don't have picture ID though, so even if they asked to see a BC, it could still be for someone else. For example, Johnny can't go on trip, so Jack comes along. Jack can still say he's Johnny and use Johnny's BC. That is why the TSA agent asks the kids to say their name. They always ask my kids.

I've traveled with my niece a lot (she's 9). Not once has someone asked her name.

I've never run into an agent that asked them until that one time in FL. It's fine they ask but most little kids, toddler age, likely won't answer. My daughter at that age refused to talk to adults because she was so shy and my son is the same way. They should expect a lot of blank stares when they ask the toddler age kids. lolol

Sometimes they ask who is XXX? And the kids may not answer but, they will kind of give a look like how did they know my name?
