LIRR commuters
How has your commute been this week? I haven't gone into the city since before the so called "summer of hell" started. Just curious if it has been as bad as the media was playing up it was going to be. Any major issues? As in, more so than on any given normal day with the disaster that is the LIRR?

Dhs commute was exactly the same. Some days even better than normal. I think people were so afraid of it that a lot took vacations, work d from home, adjusted their hours or commutes to hunters point instead.

DHs commute was fine. No issues. I don't know if that had to do with it being the first week or because people prepared for the worst or what.

I always went to Atlantic so my schedule hasn't changed. But my trains are VERY crowded. Today was the first day I got a seat. Last week I had to stand because the train was so packed.

So far so good. I'm on the Port Wash line. The only difference for me is my usual train was canceled entirely, but I am taking a train earlier or later so it's not a huge deal. Same regular delays but I have heard worse from a friend on the Babylon line, overcrowding and such.
