Disney in January

I work in a school so either have to go to disney on school holidays or go for an extended long weekend during a lower crowd time.

We are thinking of doing a Thurs pm to monday night the weekend of January 26th

Has anyone ever been to disney during this time?

I realize it wont be warm and we are ok with that. Any other drawbacks?

Thanks!

Disney in January

We have been in January and it was perfect weather for us because we don't like the heat. We wore layers and started each day with sweatshirts and ended up in tshirts/tanks by the afternoon. There was one day when we did MK and we had on hats and gloves for the parade/fireworks at night. But the rest of the days were beautiful.

We did Disney & Universal this year the week of 1/22. The weather was perfect for us. Same as PP mentioned. Cool in am, then warmed up.
I would go at that time of year again in a heartbeat.
Universal was working on the Simpsons Ride and MK was working on Hall of Presidents, so those were closed. That was the only drawback.
According to people we were with who have been recently, the parks were "empty."
Go for it!

We've been many times in January. We love it at that time of year. The parks are relatively empty. Just be aware that they do a lot of refurbishments then so some rides may be closed. Also they cut back on park hours which really isn't a big deal because the crowds are lower.

Don't rule out it being warm. We have gone some years in January and it's been hot enough to swim. We've also been there in January bundled up. Be prepared for anything weather-wise at that time of year
