Parents!

How do you keep yourselves from eating your children's snacks?? Or don't you? I am addicted to Annie's summer strawberry fruit snacks. No kids here but I am constantly buying everything by this brand.

Ugh, I'm so bad about it. I bought pirate's booty for DD and DH and I ate almost the whole bag. Chat Icon I try and get the individual snack packs- I'm less likely to grab one and it makes it easier when I pack them for daycare.

I just got the Annie's graham crackers- a mix of honey, chocolate and chocolate chip- they're so good!

I don't. In fact I'll buy things with the kids in mind and sometimes I eat it all before they even had some.

OMG it's bad. When she was a baby I would buy her the Gerber Yogurt melts and end up eating the whole bag myself. They are SOOO good. I finally started buying a bag for her and a bag for me and I would take mine to work!

And when I make her Mac and Cheese I always have to "taste it to make sure it isn't too hot". Once half the bowl is gone, I deem it safe for he to eat!

Parents!

All the time. I never snacked until having kids. Pirates booty, pretzels, puffs. Everything.
I buy the snack bag size so at least it's portion controlled.

Yep. My kids are not great eaters so I rarely buy things like cookies bc they may get one or two as treats after dinner and I eat the rest when they're not around bc they'll go stale by the time my kids earn them by actually eating their dinner. I really just doing buy them snacks aside from goldfish (I eat those tooChat Icon)

The snacks we have now are pretty much the same snacks we would have had in the house pre-kids - pretzels, cheese and crackers, yogurt. I never got into the baby-specific or toddler-specific food stuff so DC usually just eats the same foods we do. DC is still young and pretty much under parental influence only. I could totally see this becoming a bigger issue when I have teenage kids who want all of the crap from the supermarket and i end up eating fruit rollups and doritos all day.

I'm the worst! They always ask me, "Mommy, what happened to my {insert snack name}" after I finish the whole box and I'm like, "Oh I'm sorry, I think Daddy ate them" lol.

I actually don't eat her stuff, probably because I give her healthy food I have no interest in.

Except for Annie's bunnies. Those bunnies are like crack. I'm eating chocolate ones right now.

Oh yes, I think I eat less junk now because I don't want them to eat it (or don't want to clean the chocolate mess).

If I buy that stuff for son I typically get to it before him. Especially the Annie's graham bunnies. I don't like the cheese ones though.

My dd loves salty snacks like chips, pretzels, goldfish, popcorn, etc. And she likes fruity/sugary candy like lolipops. All stuff I'm not a fan of bc I have a major sweet tooth but mostly for chocolate, which it seems she will eat but doesn't ever ask for. So luckily I just don't crave her favorite snacks at all. Meanwhile I pretty much ate all the chocolate candy that was in her Easter basket and she didn't even notice.

Not easy!

Honestly the best practice is to not have processed snacks even for kids!

DD hid her jelly beans once under her pillow. She said it was so I wouldn't eat them!

So true! I tried to eat a bag of pretzels at the beach yesterday and they all came running from different directions. The sandy little hand stationed in the bag was great portion control Chat Icon

I stopped buying a lot of processed snacks but the few that I do are in bins out of sight!

I don't have kids. I finished a box of Annie's summer strawberry gummy bunnies and I'm pissed. I want more. I asked dh to get me an ice pop from the kitchen last night and he asked me if he could have one. I didn't know if I should've laughed or cried that he feels the need to ask me if its ok. Yikes
