Re: Gift help

I still have the gc she got me to red door last yr for my bday Chat Icon and nooo more booze. Dh has a huuuuge whisky collection and I have a pretty impressive port collection ifidosaysomyself lol.

We don't need anything at the moment. We spent the last month donating and throwing things away. Might just tell her gc to a restaurant and force ourselves to go as soon as we get it.

How about a cleaning lady?

I have a one bedroom coop and no kids. If I asked for a cleaning lady and my mom found out, she would hit me

I was going to say a GC to a restaurant (like you said). I think that's the best bet.

Re: Gift help

Do you like to go away? I've gotten my parents gift cards to www.bedandbreakfast.com. They don't expire and there are lots of choices for bed and breakfasts and cute inns/spas.

If you guys like weekend trips, that could be a good possibility.

This is kind of boring, but if you don't have a lot of space, are there home items that you need to replace or need more of? Towels, sheets, a comforter, a shower curtain/bath accessories, barware, dishes, etc. That way you could throw out the old stuff and bring in the new! Or artwork or a photo or print for your walls?

If you like to go to the beach or parks, maybe something like a picnic basket or insulated tote iwth accessories (wine opener, etc.)?

I have an airbnb gc that's been sitting in my email for a year. I never redeem anything it's bad!!
As long as DH doesnt touch, all my appliances are perfect. I got a beautiful picnic basket a few hrs ago. Everything has been put into storage. We do need a good knife set but it's bad luck to give/receive as a gift.

Give her $1 and then the knives are no longer considered a gift.
