Kids in Casts... any tips??
So DS is 6. last night, DH and i took our 2 boys to a playground. DS thinks he's a stunt man, always doing cartwheels. He tried to do a cartwheel from standing at the bottom of the slide. Landed wrong, and fractured his arm, up near his elbow. he's in a cast for 2 weeks.. and it goes up over his elbow, so he can't bend his arm.
i felt SO bad putting him to bed tonight, and watching him try to get comfortable with it. and also its his right hand- so writing, eating, getting dressed... all of it are a lot tougher for him.
Just any tips from BTDT parents??? just to help us all get through these next couple weeks?? Thanks!

Ugh. I feel for you. DD broke her wrist right before her 3rd birthday. The good thing is they heal super quick. She was out of the cast in 3 weeks. They are really good at figuring out how to use their arms in casts.
Did you get the "condom" that goes over the cast so they can shower? That was the best thing ever!!!
