40th birthday ideas...Spain?
I always wanted to go to Italy and/or Greece for my 40th which is next April. Now thinking about it, I'm setting my sites on Spain. My family on my mom's side is from there, in Galicia and I've gone every year since I was little and spent every summer there so I'd rather go somewhere else...I've gone to Madrid also so was thinking maybe 1 of these places I've never been: Barcelona, Sevilla, Malaga, Mallorca, any other city in the country. Oh, and please no Ibiza! lol
and how's the weather in April, which is when I'd go...thanks!

Oh I love Barcelona!!! We stayed at the W. gorgeous. So many great sites, restaurants

I love Seville. Such a beautiful city. You can also fly in and out of Malaga and go to Marbella if you want something beachy. We drove from Seville to Marbella stopping
At Gibraltar on the way. We did the Alhambra one day from Marbella.

Have been to all of the above excluding Malaga.
I would do: Madrid, Cordoba, Granada and Sevilla. Nice trip that you could do in a few days.
Go to Mallorca in the summer and pair that with Ibiza/Formentera.

I would go to Barcelona all the time if I could.

San Sebastian is a wonderful city; it's Basque. Tapas up the ying yang, beach, just a wonderful place.
I loved Seville and Barcelona as well. If you have any interest in architecture, Barcelona and the Gaudi works are absolutely divine (Sagrada familia church, Parc Guel)

I went to Barcelona & Malaga about 5 yrs ago. And I LOVED it. Would go back in a heartbeat. I was there in August so I can't help with weather in April.

Loved Barcelona. Food was great. Just thinking of it makes me crave the fried padron peppers. Only unpleasant memory was a naked old man we saw at the beach!

I only have been to Barcelona and I loved it, so much we went back a second time. So many things to do and places to visit. Such a beautiful city.
