Husband leaving his job
Hey all. After 11 years working the night shift, my husband is leaving his job to take care of the kids for a year while I continue to work. We are so excited about this new chapter of our lives. It has been so hard to spend time together and now with 2 kids, we felt the time was right. His last day is Thursday. I want to do something to celebrate this new part of our lives. Any suggestions? We have 2 small kids and I'm still working Monday -Friday so I guess it can't be anything too big lol. I'd love to hear your suggestions. TIA!

Are you looking to do something with just your immediate family to celebrate? Like some kind of family day?
Or just a date night type thing with you and your DH? Do you have a sitter?
Where are you located?

Hey. We're in Bellmore. Not sure what I want to do... I just want it to be a celebration on some sorts. It was a tough decision and a bit bittersweet for him. I just want him to know, I'm proud of him and happy for us.

That's the thing. Right now he is watching the kids during the day while I'm at work and then working the overnight shift. Once he stops working it will be such a blessing.

How about you throw him a party to celebrate. I'm jealous of him!

Can you get a group together for a small celebration - maybe a happy hour type thing (if you can get a sitter) - because it sounds like he hasn't been free for that kind of outing in awhile!
Sounds like a great move for your family.
