I LOVE Prime Time and my kids really enjoyed it too!.............I think the food is better than Sci Fi even though Sci Fi is cute inside.

I'd do 50s prime time. I liked the food at both, but I preferred the theming of 50s to the dark booth at sci fi.

It depends on the experience you are looking for. Prime Time is buffet, Sci-fi is not. However, at Sci-fi you are seated in cars two to a row. For the two in the back seat, you will be staring at the backs of those in front of you. For the two in the front seat, they continually have to turn around to see/talk to those in the back seat.

Prime Time is NOT buffet. You are seated at a dinner table in an old fashioned 50s style kitchen and you're served by "mom" (waiter).
Hollywood and Vine is a buffet........ Maybe that's what your thinking of.

LOVE Prime Time! My kids got a kick out of our server calling us his cousins, mentioning not getting a Christmas card from us, telling us to get our elbows off the table..total fun time!! I don't like the food at Sci Fi to be honest.

Re: 50s prime or sci fi?
Have only been to Sci Fi and we loved it- but given the age of your kids, the other place might be a better option. My DD was 9 and was old enough to get a kick out of the movies, which were those old cheesy ones. But had she been 2 or 4 I do not think she would have liked it- and it's dark, which she also would not have liked at the time.

Re: 50s prime or sci fi?
With younger kids I think I'd stick with Primetime just because of the dark and creepy movie factor at Sci Fi. I enjoy both restaurants though.

Thanks everyone! As cool as sci fi sounds, I'll do prime time. We'd be sitting in rows of two, combined with the dark and creepy movie clips is prob not the best choice for a 2 and 4 year old. We'll do it on the next trip when they're older.
