Do you give out valentines to the kids in your child's class? How about the teachers?

Re: Daycare and Valentine's Day

Yes to the kids, no for teachers. We just do those premade ones with a character my kids like. I try to find ones that include stickers rather than candy.

Daycare and Valentine's Day

My daycare sends out a memo telling us when to bring them in. This year I found little shovels with a card that says I really dig you at Walmart. I prefer not to give/receive candy. DS is 2.5. They start trading valentines in the toddler room

I bought valentines for DD to give out. I would also like to send in a treat but not sure what parents would be ok with- they're 12-18 months.

I had googled ideas and saw fruit pouches with a tag that said "Happy Valentines Day to my main squeeze" which I thought was adorable for little ones but my DD is too big.

I was going to do the squeeze pouch, but I found the shovels and they were so cheap, I couldn't pass them up!! My DS is 2.5 and LOVES squeeze pouches!!!!

Dd's school had where you could purchase a valentine for $1 a person so I used to do that but I've also done crayons and the squeeze pouches.

We get a list of the kids a week or so before Valentines day. I got Paw Patrol puzzle valentines this year.

I usually give the teachers a small box of candy and a homemade card.

All great ideas, thanks everyone. I was planning on doing the store bought valentine's day cards with some stickers for the kids. My DS is 2 and doesn't eat candy so I don't want to do that. I was thinking of a small box of chocolates or a $5 starbucks card for each of the teachers.

Really?! Maybe I will do that then.

I was thinking cupcakes but then I didn't want to look like the unhealthy mom.

Re: Daycare and Valentine's Day

I bought cute little stuffed animals at Dollar Tree for each kid & each teacher. For the kids I'll just write a sticky note message on each one, for the teachers I'll give them each with a card from him. Cheap & cute!

If you are looking for something for the teachers, Target sells a small box of Ghirardelli chocolate squares that says- to my teacher. It's really cute and it's $5

My DD is in preschool, not daycare, but I got valentine cards with a lollipop for the kids. I will get either flowers or a box of candy for her teachers bc her main teacher is awesome and goes above and beyond for my DD.

I may bring in cupcakes for the class too.

Im sure all the parents will LOVE me! Chat Icon

Re: Daycare and Valentine's Day

I am making goody bags for DD's class. I may have gone a little overboard but she was out sick the entire week before Christmas and I never did anything for her classmates, so I feel guilty.

I'm putting in play doh, pencil, little heart-shaped memo pad, heart-shaped plastic novelty glasses, a sheet of stickers, foam sweetheart stickers, a pack of fruit snacks, and I will do some candy too, lollipops, Hershey's kisses, etc.

Waiting to see if they have a party and I will send in something and I will do something for the teacher and assistants too, just don't know what yet.

yes for classmates and teachers and the do a V-Day party in class so he has to bring in an item. I absolutely love it! He gets so excited and would love to give something unique and special to each person. DS is 4 in a daycare/prek setting.

Daycare and Valentine's Day

I bought UTZ Valentine Mickey Mouse shaped pretzels at Target for dd to give out at nursery school- they are individually packaged in Valentine's Day packaging with a spot to write to and from.
