Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
I have a 3 and 6 year old. I'll definitely have a stroller for the 3 year old, but do you think I'll need something for 6 year old? She never goes in stroller at home, but I know Disney is another animal. What did you do for a child that age? I went to DW at 6 and didn't go in a stroller, but I know friends who say to have one.

I would not. Double strollers are a pain with the crowds and all plus I don't think it's necessary even for a park as big as Disney. I would just bring a stroller for your 3 yo. I am speaking for my 6 yo but you know your 6 yo best.

We went to Disneyland last August and my DD was 5. I had a double stroller because it's a long day with a lot of walking. By the end of the night, she was asleep in the stroller. I am glad we had it.
If you are renting, I would go ahead and get the double city mini.

Re: Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
When my kids were younger we took 2 single strollers vs a double. We bought them for the trip in Florida (you can get simple strollers for under $20 each at Babies r Us or you can have Amazon ship it) and ended up taking one home and tossing one. The ease of having something smaller and fold and not care if it gets trashed was great.
When we went to Disney this year with my DS just turned 6, he definitely did not need a stroller, neither did my 4.5 year old, but they are big walkers.

We went last year with a 4 and 6 (almost 7) year old and brought (and used) a double stroller.

My DS was close to 6 when we went last year. We took our city mini and definitely used it. He's not a walker @@ and we don't usually go back to the hotel for breaks---so we go all day. He gets exhausted and falls asleep in the stroller almost every day. I would go for the double.... If nothing else, it gives you an extra spot to stash stuff lol

Re: Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
Absolutely!! My kids were 6 and 1.5 yrs old when we went and THANK GOD I had the double stroller. We were in the park from open to close, some nights until almost midnight, so my 6 yr old used the stroller a lot. It's so much walking so she appreciated being able to take a break as needed and we didn't need to slow down or stop which was was nice. She just hopped in and we kept moving.

As an avid Disney visitor, I would say absolutely, positively, YES!!!!
I bought a special stroller to accommodate DD's weight just for Disney. We used it our last 3 trips. I told her on the last trip, it was the last time we would have a stroller. She just turned 9.

Thanks for all the comments. We don't have a double, so maybe I'll rent one down there for the week and bring an umbrella stroller for my 3 year old for airport.

Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
We went this past July with an almost 4 year old and two 5.5 year olds and we brought our double stroller and used it. they all took turns sitting in it. They never would have made it all day without that stroller and it was not that bad pushing it through the crowds. Other than being a little heavy when both twins were in it at the same time, we had zero issues navigating the stroller through the crowds.

Re: Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
We rented a double stroller when my boys were 2 and 5.5. We definitely used it. We walked a lot every day, it was super hot out and we stayed in the parks from opening until pretty late at night. DS1 was happy to take a break in the stroller.

Definitely take the double stroller. We used ours on our most recent trip to Disney with a 5yo and 7yo.

I used the jooby caboose x2 the last 2 summers when my kids were 3&5 and then again 4&6, I think it's necessary.

Do you think I need a double stroller for Disney?
YES!!! My 7 year old who is not one to get tired ever - definitely needed it in Disney. It's hot and ALOT of walking. Honestly, it even helped just to get though crowds or get someplace quicker. We told our 5 and 7 year to just get in and we pushed. Didn't need to worry about them lagging behind or getting lost in a crowd. We are goin again in August and definitely renting a double.
I found the double easier than pushing two single ones too
